The Washington State Health Care Authority in conjunction with the Department of Social and Health Services intends to submit a State Plan amendment 13-21 to make the following changes if these changes are included in the Enacted State Budget. The proposed effective date of these changes is July 1, 2013. Changes may include rate increases to Adult Family Homes serving Medicaid clients based on adjustments to licensing fees and implementation of the latest Collective Bargaining Agreement. Changes may also be made to rates paid to Assisted Living Facilities with contracts to provide Assisted Living (AL), Adult Residential Care (ARC), and Enhanced Adult Residential Care (EARC) services to Medicaid clients based on adjustments to licensing fees and the AL Capital Add-on rate. The estimated increase in aggregated total annual expenditures for the above changes is anticipated to be $3,314,000.
